We Are What We Eat
According to nutritionists health starts in the gut and they say, we are what we eat. I totally agree with that.
What we eat is so important as food gives us the fuel for life. If we eat food which is unhealthy our body suffers hugely from the negative effect of unsuitable fuel. Just imagine your car. How long would it go if you put the wrong fuel in??
Our body is a very highly intelligent ‘ mechanical machine’ and it will keep going on for a long time before it is totally breaks down and shows signs of serious illnesses.
One of the functions of our intestines is to eliminate toxins from our body. The large intestine has something called bower floras or good bacteria’s. If we don’t eat healthy well balanced food, these essential good bacteria are dying off and our bowel is not able to function well or eliminate all the
bodies’ unwanted toxins.
If toxins will overtake and we can experience bloating, fatigue, pain in the stomach, dizziness, flu-like symptoms headaches and so much more discomfort which later on could lead to other more serious conditions. Taking care of our eating habits, buying healthy freshly prepared food, occasional detoxing, are some of the keys to keeping our bowels and digestive tracts healthy. Many people think that maintaining a healthy diet is very time consuming expensive and that cooking takes ages. I don’t agree with that.
Making healthy dishes only needs is some organisation and planning ahead. Shop accordingly, learn about really healthy food and check out labels.
I find cooking great fun and very creative. In our modern ‘electronically imposed ‘ life we can easily find good, quick recipes online and some of them could be made in bulk and could even be frozen down for some other more busy times.
Look after your gut health and make an effort to eat a healthy and balanced diet.
Your life is depending on what you put into your body….
